Since 2023, Bridgestone has taken steps to visualize its social impact, which refers to the “changes that happen to individuals, organizations, and the company, in the short or longer term, as a result of the activity,” as defined in the globally recognized Corporate Community Investment Framework by Business for Societal Impact (B4SI).
Bridgestone’s approach emphasizes both measuring and communicating impact. By combining these two elements, it is able to share tangible outcomes with stakeholders, while continuously improving its activities. Visualizing impact also allows Bridgestone to better understand how these activities contribute to creating social and corporate value, enabling Bridgestone to make more effective decisions and refine its initiatives. Bridgestone focuses in particular on the impact of road safety activities on beneficiaries in the community and on employees.
In 2025, beyond improving individual activities, our impact visualization efforts helped strengthen trust with stakeholders by:
- Driving recognition of our approach among industry peers and community partners
- Enabling connections with new customers and partners beyond our existing businesses
- Fostering employee pride and ownership, reinforcing a culture of contribution and accountability
Furthermore, insights gained through impact visualization have strengthened stakeholder trust and, over the medium to long term, contribute to enhancing corporate value.
