To recognize outstanding initiatives of Bridgestone-like value creation that embody the “Bridgestone E8 Commitment“, we honor their achievements through the Bridgestone Group Awards, the highest global recognition within the Group.

The Bridgestone Group Awards 2025 recognized outstanding initiatives based on the four business shaping scenarios that clarify the direction of value creation in the Mid-Term Business Plan (2024–2026) — “Create good business quality,” “Create good tires,” “Create good business,” and “Create new business, sowing good seeds for the future” — with “Create social value” added as an additional category. Under these five categories, approximately 180 initiatives were nominated globally, from which eight were selected as award winners representing best practices in value creation.

Providing Customer Value Across the Entire Value Chain in the Off-the-Road Tires for Mining Vehicles

In the off-the-road tires for mining vehicles and solutions business, the project team work closely with customers on-site to address their specific challenges and amplify value across the entire value chain. In the “produce and sell” phase, the team developed Dan‑Totsu product Bridgestone MASTERCORE, which helps reduce customer downtime and extend tire life. In the “use” phase, the team provides Smart On‑site, a solution that utilizes tire data together with vehicle data from Bridgestone iTrack* and incorporates new algorithms—including early‑stage failure detection alerts—to support safer and more efficient operations. By continuing to strengthen these initiatives, we aim to further enhance the safety and productivity of mining operations and contribute to sustainability through improvements in resource productivity.

*Bridgestone iTrack: A system that enables the integrated acquisition and monitoring of tire temperature and pressure data, as well as vehicle data such as vehicle location and driving speed, through the provision of a tire pressure monitoring system specifically designed for off-the-road tires for mining vehicles produced by Bridgestone.

Development and Launch of BLIZZAK WZ-1 Dan-Totsu Winter Tire

We developed the Dan‑Totsu winter tire BLIZZAK WZ‑1, which delivers outstanding ICE control performance along with enhanced performance across a wide range of winter road conditions. In addition, we significantly expanded the applied sizes of BCMA* (Bridgestone Commonality Modularity Architecture), contributing to both business cost reduction and lower environmental impact. Through the sales of BLIZZAK WZ‑1, we contribute to safety and peace of mind in winter driving.

*BCMA (Bridgestone Commonality Modularity Architecture): Base technology for R&D and manufacturing. It consolidates tire parts into modules and shares them among different products. This streamlines the supply chain, shortens development and production lead times, and provides value to customers in an agile manner, while also aiming to reduce business costs and the environmental impact. Aligning with ENLITEN, BCMA supports “ultimate customization.”

Building a Supply System Agilely Responding to Demand Fluctuations – Growth of Individual Skilled Workers through Multi-Skilling and Active Contributions across Plants and Products

Active contributions of skilled workers across products and plants

At Japan’s tire production sites, which serve as the “core of manufacturing” in global, skilled workers expanded their contribution through multi-skilling beyond their own processes and plants. This supported both talent development and the ability to respond agilely to global demand fluctuations. As a result, their efforts contributed not only to performance in Japan but also to global business results, while the stable supply of tires strengthened customer trust.

Aviation Solutions: “More Landings with Less Tires” ― Creation of Customer Value and Social Value through Collaboration with Customer Across the Value Chain

We promotes value co‑creation by strengthening trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including aircraft manufacturers, airlines, and airports. Through collaborative tire‑maintenance improvement activities with these stakeholders, we contribute to reducing tire‑related costs for airlines. In addition, by improving tire usage and maximizing retreading, we enhance resource productivity and MCN (Material Circularity Number) and maximize the value per tire. All these initiatives contribute not only to improving the productivity and economic value of aviation operations, but also to advancing sustainability.

*CPL:Cost Per Landing(A lease program in which revenue is recorded based on the number of landings)

*SUP:Single Unit Price(A lease program in which new and retread tires are offered at the same price)

Road Safety Program for Youth - “Start Young. Stay Safe.”

In Indonesia, we collaborated with stakeholders including local government, NGOs, and employees to implement road safety program, which educated more than 1,000 students and teachers every year. We have received voices from many participants that the program has “enhanced their understanding and awareness of traffic safety and tire maintenance, and has been helpful in their daily lives.” This initiative embodies Bridgestone’s fundamental principle “Tires Carry Life”, and we will continue to support safety and peace of mind in local communities while creating social value.
