Tokyo (June 29, 2026) - Bridgestone Corporation (Bridgestone) today announced that it will supply its premium sport motorcycle tire, BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S23, as original equipment for the new Supersport model YZF-R7 released by Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (Yamaha).
The new YZF-R7 is a Supersport model that further refines the functionality, performance, and style inspired by Yamaha's racing machine, while offering a range of features for everyday usability. Its chassis has been completely refined for agile and precise handling that enables riders to fully enjoy sporty riding and responsive cornering. With improved stability and enhanced feedback from the road, the YZF-R7 has evolved into a Supersport model that delivers confidence and excitement to riders. *2
The BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S23 supplied for the YZF-R7 features an optimized shoulder groove ratio and pattern rigidity compared to previous models, improving road contact feel and overall performance, while realizing high levels of dry grip and agile handling essential for sporty riding. In addition, the rear tire adopts the Pulse Groove *3 pattern, which enhances drainage performance and delivers excellent wet performance. These features maximize the riding performance required by Yamaha's Supersport, providing riders with confidence and enjoyment even in sudden weather changes or wet conditions.
The supply of these original equipment tires was made possible through close collaboration between Yamaha and Bridgestone from the early stages of vehicle development, with Yamaha's development team recognizing the value of the BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S23 and Bridgestone's advanced technological capabilities.
