Tokyo (September 24, 2025) - Bridgestone Corporation (Bridgestone) announced today that YART - YAMAHA won 2025 FIM*1 Endurance World Championship (EWC) title, the world's premier series of endurance motorcycle races, on Bridgestone's BATTLAX premium motorcycle tires. This is the sixth time and the fifth consecutive year that a team to which Bridgestone supplies tires has won EWC title. Furthermore, other teams supported by Bridgestone, the Yoshimura SERT Motul secured second place in the series while BMW MOTORRAD WORLD ENDURANCE TEAM took third place and Kawasaki Webike Trickstar finished fourth, achieving Bridgestone's first-ever feat of supported teams dominating the top four positions.
Since 2017, Bridgestone has supported teams participating in the full EWC series with the supply of BATTLAX brand tires, which provide high grip, durability, and comfort handling. In the 2025 season, YART - YAMAHA , one of the teams supported by Bridgestone, entered the final round - the Bol d'Or 24-hour endurance race held at Circuit Paul Ricard in France - at the top of the rankings, and by finishing in second place, won the EWC championship title. As a result, teams equipped with Bridgestone's BATTLAX tires have achieved 12 consecutive EWC race victories over three seasons, starting from the first round in 2023.
Bridgestone, guided by its fundamental principle "tires carry life," positions its motorsports activities as a "mobile laboratory" that represents a "challenge for excellence." In the development of motorcycle tires, the company values both the actual usage conditions in EWC races and feedback from riders, and is working to further improve tire performance. Through these activities, Bridgestone is advancing tire technology - including BATTLAX - to the next stage.
Comment from Mandy Kainz, Team Manager of YART - YAMAHA:
"What can I say. This is endurance racing. We worked so hard, but it looked like the championship was out of our reach, and then that happened. It was an incredible finish, and I am so proud of all of the team. We did not quite have the pace of our rivals, but we never gave up. We kept fighting, despite all three riders and a number of the mechanics suffering from health issue. It still hasn't sunk in yet, if I am honest, our third world title...wow! I want to thank Yamaha, Bridgestone, all of our sponsors, and every single member of the team. We did it! I would also like to mention the BMW team, who were outstanding, and they did not deserve to lose the championship this way. We have all had bad luck, but this was something else, and I want to congratulate them on a superb season-long battle."
Comment from Hiroshi Imai, Vice President and Senior Officer of Bridgestone Corporation, responsible for Global Motorsports:
"First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the fans who supported the race, all participants who competed passionately in the EWC series, event staff, FIM, and everyone involved. I would also like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to everyone at "YART - YAMAHA" for winning the series championship. Throughout the season, "YART - YAMAHA" demonstrated outstanding teamwork and delivered performances truly worthy of champions. We at Bridgestone are extremely pleased to have contributed to "YART - YAMAHA"'s series championship victory by working as one with the team, supplying Bridgestone's BATTLAX tires and providing operations that maximize rider and machine performance under the extreme conditions of endurance racing. In addition, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all motorsports fans for their support and to the teams who assisted us in tire development. Bridgestone will continue to refine our technologies and strive to develop and supply even higher quality, higher performance tires, so that we can support our teams from the ground up and contribute to their series championship victories as a true team member".
