Bridgestone Group to Donate 50 Million yen to Flood-Stricken Regions in Thailand

Tokyo (October 31, 2011)-Bridgestone Corporation today announced that it will donate ¥50 million to assist flood-stricken regions in Thailand.

In addition to the company contribution, Bridgestone Group companies in Thailand will be donating funds and collecting food worth approximately ¥3.4 million to further aid for those affected by the disaster.

For more than 40 years, the Bridgestone Group has had a business presence in Thailand that includes tire production and sales. The Group has 10 manufacturing facilities in Thailand, including new tire, diversified products and raw materials plants.

The Bridgestone Group would like to express its sincere condolences to those who have suffered from the flood, and we wish the nation of Thailand a rapid recovery.
