The Updated Recovery Status of Bridgestone Factories Following the 2011 off the Pacific Coast of Tohoku (Northeastern Part of Japan) Earthquake Disaster

Tokyo (March 28, 2011) - The Bridgestone Group would like to express our deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones as a result of the 2011 off the Pacific Coast of Tohoku (Northeastern Part of Japan) Earthquake Disaster on March 11, 2011, and we hope the area will see a swift recovery.

With regard to Nasu Factory which stopped producing tires in the wake of the earthquake has restarted its production beginning on March 25. The restart of the Nasu facility means that all Bridgestone factories in Japan have resumed production after the earthquake. The factory output will be increased gradually based on electricity restrictions and other issues.
