Bridgestone Group Donates to Relief Efforts following the 2011 off the Pacific Coast of Tohoku (Northeastern Part of Japan) Earthquake Disaster

Tokyo (March 14, 2011) – Bridgestone Group today announced that it will contribute donations worth ¥300 million (approximately US$3.5 million) to assist with relief efforts following the 2011 off the Pacific Coast of Tohoku (Northeastern Part of Japan) Earthquake Disaster.

Bridgestone Corporation will donate ¥200 million (approximately US$2.3 million), and Bridgestone Group will donate bicycles and bedclothes worth ¥100 million (approximately US$ 1.2 million) to those who suffered because of the disaster.

Bridgestone Group would like to express their condolences to the families who lost loved ones in the 2011 off the Pacific Coast of Tohoku (Northeastern Part of Japan) Earthquake Disaster, and truly hope that the area devastated by the earthquake disaster will be reconstructed as soon as possible.
