1. Bridgestone's Quality Assurance

Ever since it was founded, Bridgestone has placed great emphasis on "Quality Assurance."
The company realizes that its own success depends upon the trust of the customer, and that only through the vital activities for assuring quality in all phases of production, sales, technology and inspection can it make a positive contribution to society.

2. Quality Assurance System

The overall system for quality assurance is as follows:

A. Product Planning / Evaluation
a) Product Planning
b) Research & Development
c) Evaluation & Approval of the Product by Aviation Authority and/or by the customer through Qualification testing for each tire size.
B. Control of Mass-Production
a) Establishing Standards
b) Control of Initial Product in Advance of Mass Production
c) Process Assurance
Characteristics are classified into inspection points, control points and check points for each manufacturing process.
d) Lot-Control System
Pursuit of raw-materials history and adoption of a process inspection card system.
e) Control Test
C. Inspection
a) Acceptance of raw materials registration of the specified suppliers
b) Inspection
c) Inspection in process
Adoption of a process inspection card system
d) Final product inspection
e) Material-Review-Board System

D. Packing, Storage and Transportation

E. Control over Jigs and Tools, Instruments, Facilities and Machinery

F. Examination and Analysis of Claimed Tires

3. Product Warranty

A. New tires
New tires manufactured and sold by Bridgestone are guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and material. If any defect is found in new Bridgestone tires or tubes, and if confirmed by our examination, we will either repair such defective products or make a reasonable allowance on the purchase of new ones. There is no other warranty on these products, and no representative has authority to make any promise or agreement except as stated herein.
B. Retreaded tires
Tires retreaded at a Bridgestone facility are guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and material. Under the term of this guarantee if any defect is found in them and confirmed by our examination, we will either repair them or make a reasonable allowance taking into account the purchase price of new tires of like size and ply rating. There is no other warranty on tires retreaded and sold by Bridgestone. No representative has authority to make any promise or agreement except as stated herein.
